With Redacted Stack, made specifically for *QueenSpecific, Eleanor King continues a practice that gleans from consumer waste as material and combines these found objects into minimal architectural forms. Her collections exploit the inherent structural properties of the object while simultaneously maintaining the potential of failure. Her work speaks to cultural production, excess and obsolescence, and her relationship to music is often embedded through repetition, pattern, and the very media in which music is delivered.
Eleanor King is an interdisciplinary artist who creates site-specific installations using provisional materials and improvisational methods. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has participated in residencies in Canada and the US.
