Jimmy Limit’s installations, photographs, artist books and photogenic sculptures explore the tension between object and image. Recurring motifs in his work include exotic fruit, hardware store goods and his own handmade ceramics. Drawing on industrial supply aesthetics, stock imagery and his work as a commercial photographer, Limit addresses how photography functions both as a tool of commerce and as a commodity. Limit’s work has recently appeared on the covers of C Magazine and cura Magazine (Italy). He has recently had a solo show at Rodman Hall/Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario) and will have a second solo show at Clint Roenisch Gallery in 2015.
