Cybèle Young 27.03.09 – 04.05.09 |
|
Cybèle Young’s work is created from Japanese paper in miniature scale, where interactions between inanimate objects hint at human relationships. Cybèle’s sculptural works come alive in her short stop motion film We just missed it. The film takes the viewer on a meandering stroll, past a host of abstract paper sculptures, which themselves, seem to be on their way to somewhere. Cybèle Young is an artist living and working in Toronto. She is represented by Edward Day Gallery in Toronto, Forum Gallery in New York, Newzones Gallery in Calgary, and Gallery Jones in Vancouver.
