This installation for *QueenSpecfic is inspired by elements in my immediate surroundings: light, air, earth, water, flora and fauna, not the least of which are the foods I eat and the ingredients found in my kitchen.
Kai Chan is represented by David Kaye Gallery in Toronto, Galerie Elena Lee in Montreal and Galerie Ra in Amsterdam. An exhibit of his work, Kai Chan: A Spider’s Logic – a Thirty-five Year Retrospective Exhibition, originating at the Textile Museum of Canada and The Varley Art Gallery of Markham, is currently touring across Canada.
