20.11.14 – 06.01.15

With Ceremonial Bowls, George Jae-Hyun Cho marries tradition with modernity. His contemporary interpretation of the footed ceremonial bowls of the 2nd century Silla Dynasty of the Korean peninsula are arranged to mimic an iconic oriental pottery form.

Originally from Seoul, Korea, George Jae-Hyun Cho earned his BFA in Ceramics from NSCAD University and a Diploma in Ceramics from Sheridan College. He was awarded the NSCAD-Lunenburg Community Studio Residency position in 2010 and in 2011 was accepted into Harbourfront Centre’s Artist-in-Residence program.
