Ken Nicol
two things that make sense and one that doesn’t

17.07.08 – 21.08.08

Kenís artwork is marked by his obsession with collecting and turning everyday objects into art objects. For QueenSpecific, Ken presents us with TTC transfers picked up on his daily walk to and from his studio, paper cup bottoms-remnants of his daily coffee picked up at Dufflet at approximately the same time every day and a steel Spitfire, just because he wanted to make one.

Ken Nicol studied at several institutions before giving up on any kind of diploma. He currently works in a studio in Toronto where he surrounds himself with old typewriters, clocks and broken things. He makes art.
